Artist's Statement

I challenge myself by  experimenting with different techniques, in an on-going effort to impart a fresh look to my work.  Often I begin by throwing loose washes, letting the uncontrolled  paint find its own way.  Then I work back into the free form wash, pulling images out.  I like not knowing exactly what the wash will reveal or where it will take me.  Spontaneity in any endeavor is exciting and pushes me in directions where otherwise I  would not have gone.
